 BUGS????

I wonder why they call them bugs?
It does so bother me
for many times I've taken time
to take the time to see
there's beauty in a butterfly
lightening bugs amuse
determination's in the ant
catipilars confuse
bees are busy all the time
a lady bug brings good luck
crickets are the noisy ones
and worms are just plain yuck.

yet, do we not have beauty?
can we not amuse
have we not determination
can we not confuse
are we not busy all the time
to bring about good luck
do we not have our noisy ones
and those that's just plain yuck?
So as for those who scream and say
get that bug away from me
i think it's time you took the time
to take the time to see....

 Stacey Hall

Every day at sunset
Stacey got behind the wheel
drove down a country road
to a small church on a hill
she sat on them concrete steps
winter summer spring and fall
people drove by all the time
to stare at Stacey Hall
Now Stacey had a good heart
she was poor & she felt alone
her children loved playing hide and seek
behind the old grave stones
it's better than a play ground
she told her friends and family
it's a play ground for my kids
but it's a house of God to me.
One day sister Susan
called up brother Paul
said i'm getting tired
getting tired of seeing stacey hall
she don't belong to our church
we don't like her at all
I think the elders of our church
should talk to stacey hall..

well the congregation gathered
as the sun began to fall
and everyone agreed on that Tuesday night
they'd soon see Stacey hall
suddenly the sky turned black
and bolt of lighting hit
it hit the tree beyond the little church
where the elders sit...
Brothers don't judge brothers
sisters do the same
love your neighbor faithfully
and praise praise praise His name.

(Stacey was on her way just like they knew she'd be)
Stacey saw the hurricane
just as she pulled in
and she was glad to see their cars
and rushed inside to warn them
once inside the basement
where they was safe and warm
the elders watched as stacey clutched
her Bible through that storm
I say brothers don't judge brothers
sisters do the same
love your neighbor faithfully
and Praise Praise Praise His name.

Now every day at sunset
stacey meets with everyone
to rebuild the little church
their working till the setting sun
the children love playing hide and seek
and the Elders one and all
love to drive by their little church
Just to wave at stacey hall.
I say brothers don't judge brothers
sisters do the same
love your neighbor faithfully
and praise praise praise His name.
Once inside the basement
a book fell from it's pew
and there in bold black letters said
I will judge not you......

Inportant notice for women between the ages 0f 33-59

Let me know what you think of this poem...

WOMEN'S WORK...

I truly think us women got took
on what's considered women's work.
those jobs for men are hard, that's true.
but would he really trade places with you??
It looks to me, like some man saw
a woman could do what he wouldn't at all.
So she got the kitchen, with all of it's chores
she cooked, she cleaned, she moped up his floors.
it was then seen a bathroom as womens work too
so she got the toilets and washing to do.
with all of her chores,He then came to see
home was the place that a woman should be
For it was decided one fact was true
he earned the money, what did she do?
So it was decided a woman should stay
home with her children and like it that way
didn't she have enough to do right at home?
her job was to obey & just leave him alone.
But her children had children & we daughters saw
that women are people, with lives after all
so we got jobs and make money too
but we still do the work "that a woman should do"
now tell me doesn't it look to you
like us women are doing what a man wouldn't do???

I wrote this poem back in 1979 right after i married my husband. He made me mad enough to write it one day & He still hates this peom with all his soul...He KNOWS i wrote it for him. but i wrote a lot more than that one cause he ticked me off.....

all opinions are welcome even from Men.

When I was young I used to wonder what women ment when they talked about being a football widow..Now i know..My husband loves sports & I believe he's a sports-a-holic..If his team loses he's ...well mad at everyone & hard to be around.
Does anyone out there have this problem and if so, how do you deal with it???
